The past, its evolution and textile research.
Starting from C.P. Company’s remarkable heritage and technical expertise, a modern twist is given to garments that have been designed focusing on function and appearance from the outset.
The strength of the materials is born from the exclusive study of textile fusion and treatment processes.
"Tempo Performance" ("Performance Time") is the name given to a new textile research project, exclusive to C.P. Company, which involves the study of new performance fabrics. The company has the ability to turn natural fibres like wools into technical fabrics by combining them with a windproof and rainproof membrane, whilst leaving them unchanged in terms of appearance and breathable properties.
At the same time the reverse process has been implemented, successfully working on technical materials to give them an organic textured appearance with special treatments.
The urban section incorporates typical elements of urban menswear, in shades of black and grey. Coats are presented in technical woollen cloth with jackets in fast-dyed woollen twill and woollen flannel combined with cotton.
The country atmosphere is evoked through the traditional patterns of rural attire. From felted, worn-look tartan and houndstooth woollen fabrics to waxed garment-dyed checked cottons and printed corduroy. Leather is hand washed and treated on the finished garment, with inner waistcoats in iridescent triangular-quilted nylon and oversized cardigans.
Key Pieces
VELO2, the Cycle Jacket opens the show. It is an evolution of C.P. Company’s Urban Protection series to equip the city cyclist. The design incorporates a protective mask sewn into the hood, ergonomic construction, reflector trim.
METROPOLIS, the founding element of the Urban Protection series, originally created in 1998, in Dynalfyl T-S 70: a double twisted nylon that is oil-proof, water-proof and tear resistant, the first jacket to include an anti-smog mask.
The iconic C.P. Company GOGGLE JACKET, is an integral element of the collection and is offered in hand washed, hand treated leather and in waxed cotton, inspired by fishing attire.
An autumnal colour palette of mustard, claret and dark burgundy, forest green, brown, camel, tobacco, grape, moss, rust, dominates the collection, complemented by black and grey.
