Moreno Ferrari continued his development of the Urban Protection line by designing the highly innovative 'Life' jacket as part of C.P. Company's Autumn Winter 1998 collection.
This parka design featured four double opening pockets on the front, one pocket on the left arm and a backpack pocket on the reverse (as pictured above). Above all though, it could be instantly recognised by its removable noise-proof headset which could be fixed over or inside the hood (as pictured below).
Like the Metropolis, the Life jacket was constructed from Dynalfil TS-70 bonded to a nylon base, creating a protective layer that was rip and abrasion resistant, as well as being oil and water-proof. The piece was also insulated by a high density double fleece lining and featured a velcro fastening C.P. Company brand patch positioned centrally on the chest placket.
This iconic design proved to be an immediate success; it was therefore continued for multiple seasons and became a centrepiece of C.P. Company's Autumn Winter 1999 advertising campaign. The original piece is still highly regarded amongst C.P. Company's current design team and it continues to inspire their work season after season.
