The final piece in C.P. Company's Autumn Winter 1998 Urban Protection collection was the 'Munch' jacket. This unique design featured an innovative personal safety device that the wearer could activate by pulling a cord that was inserted through a specially constructed pocket.
The piece was designed with four front flap pockets, coulisse buckle fastening waist belt, and a high standing wind resistant collar with removable hood. As was the case with both the Life and Metropolis jackets from AW '98, the Munch also featured a detachable velcro fastening C.P. Company brand patch.
Similarly, the Munch jacket was also constructed from Dynalfil TS-70 bonded to a nylon base, which provided an abrasion and rip resistant protective barrier shell that was oil and water-proof, as well as containing a detachable high density double fleece lining.
Like all the pieces Moreno Ferrari designed as part of C.P. Company's Urban Protection line for Autumn Winter 1998, the 'Munch' continues to be held in high regard by C.P. Company's current designers, and influenced their approach towards this season's coats and jackets.
