The View jacket was developed by Moreno Ferrari to offer a more versatile piece to the Urban Protection line for 1999. This parka length design had unique detachable shoulder straps built into the lining; these allowed the wearer to unzip the jacket in warm conditions, while having it hang behind him, ready to be worn when required in changing weather conditions.
The straps could be inserted through loops in the jacket's high density double fleece lining, which was attached to a protective fabric made from Dynalfil TS-70 bonded to a nylon base. This shell was abrasion and rip resistant as well as oil and water-proof; it also featured double entrance pockets at the front and a detachable C.P. Company brand patch.
This innovative design went on to inspire the most recognisable piece within the C.P. Company '24 Project' capsule collection which launched in SS '13. This piece (pictured above) also featured detachable internal strapping secured through loops in the taped seam lining, and clearly demonstrates the influence that the C.P. Company archive continues to have on the collections created by the current design team.
