Following Wallace Faulds influential reign as Head Designer, C.P. Company's new President Enzo Fusco of FGF Industry brought together Paul Harvey and the newly re-appointed Alessandro Pungetti as Creative Directors in 2012. Having previously worked for the brand throughout most of the 2000s, Pungetti has returned with his depth of experience, while Harvey has brought his comprehensive knowledge of technical outerwear gained from many years designing for Stone Island.
Harvey and Pungetti are not only committed to developing new materials, but have set out to modernise the silhouettes of the brand; in addition to C.P. Company's philosophy of function and use, they have strived to enrich the brand's aesthetic. Throughout their collections since 2012, C.P. Company has further enhanced its reputation for experimental materials and garment dying techniques as well as expanding the range of coats and jackets that have become a centrepiece of their latest collections.
Both designers use C.P. Company's extensive archive as an inspiration when developing their latest collections and they dedicate much of their time to examining this vast resource when inventing new materials from season to season. Among all the fabrics C.P. Company has created over the years, both designers regard Rubber Wool as one of the most revolutionary and its legacy can be seen in the latest Bonded Shetland Wool jackets created in collaboration with Abraham Moon.
Their focus on technical innovation throughout the years has also brought C.P. Company great success with fabrics such as Nycra, Micro KEI, and Chrome which influenced their designs for the Limited Edition 40th Anniversary pieces. Paul Harvey's experience of working with Its-Artea has allowed them to create a piece designed in their exclusive linen fabric which has been garment dyed and double dyed, as well as creating a piece constructed from a highly unique waterproof 3-layer microfibre shell called 'Limonta'.
