To celebrate their 40-year Anniversary, C.P. Company developed 2 Limited Edition jackets that reflect their rich history of innovation in fabric dying and garment construction. Only 40 pieces were produced worldwide in each design, with 12 of each launching exclusively at C.P. Company Online and in our London Flagship Store.
Each piece was developed with a variety of unique details, including a Goggle Hood and Digital 'Watchviewer' that reflected the iconic design of the Mille Miglia jacket from 1988-1989 in a contemporary way.
In order to reflect C.P. Company's rich history of fabric innovation, its current design team, led by Creative Directors Alessandro Pungetti and Paul Harvey, teamed up with Industria Tessuti to produce a garment dyed linen Goggle Jacket constructed from 'its-artea'.
This revolutionary linen blend fabric was garment dyed and double dyed in a piece that featured neoprene mesh cuffs, front bellow pockets and a chest pocket, reflecting the design of C.P. Company's Field Jackets developed by Massimo Osti in the early 1980s, while the clasp collar neckline represented a tribute to the Sahariana jacket from 1989.
While the its-artea piece had reinvented details from C.P. Company designs of the 1980s for the modern era, the design above reimagined details of Moreno Ferrari's highly conceptual Urban Protection line from the late 1990s. The design features a structure similar to that of the Munch Jacket from 1998 and was produced with 'Limonta'.
This groundbreaking fabric is a 3-layer microfibre that was welded and lasered with taped seams to create an entirely waterproof barrier shell that would run dry without any permeation of the external membrane. The constructors of this highly progressive fabric brought their expertise in synthetic materials to the design process in such a way that this exclusive piece truly embodied C.P. Company's rich history of innovation over the past 40 years.
