Brand new for our SS '20 collection, NyBer represents the next step for C.P. Company’s groundbreaking textile technologies, and facilitates the natural evolution of our proprietary Re-Colour dyeing process. A cotton and nylon hybrid fabric, finished with a rubberised coating for a lightweight and water-resistant membrane, NyBer is a flexible, quick-drying material that’s treated with our bespoke AnTic dye process, for solid and sharp colours with a tone-on-tone effect throughout each garment.
AnTic (Antique Tinto in capo) - an experimental advancement of the Re-Colour dyeing system from previous seasons - initially involves a single shade of colour being applied to a finished garment, using either an acid or reactive dye depending on the specific makeup of each material and its chemical requirements. This is followed with a cold pigment dye treatment, which settles at the surface of the fabric, wrapping around fibres rather than permeating the filament. The chilled pigment dye process targets only the most accessible areas of each garment, meaning that locations such as seams and low points remain untouched, creating a zonal effect that is unique to each and every piece.
More than just a vessel for this avant-garde colouring procedure, NyBer’s rubberised element offers the highest degree of wind-proofing and significant water-repellence, without the need for an unwieldy heavyweight construction. This allows us to produce purely functional outerwear pieces that are best suited to unpredictable urban environments, where changeable climates call for versatile garments. Peerless protection and dense, distinctive colour variations: NyBer is available now for C.P. Company SS '20.
